Vintage Handmade Black Velvet Cocktail Dress 1930s-40s Side Metal Zipper A Line

This handmade dress is adorable, but does have an issue of note. There are some very small pinholes in the back middle. They are hard to see when on, but with light behind them you can see them (see photos). The dress originally had little thread loops for a belt that are broken. There is some slight gathering along the waist on both sides of the front (does not stretch). The gold tone buttons have pink rhinestones that are delightful. Pit to pit measures approx 18.5" making this a bustline of approx 37". Waist laying flat measures approx 15" across. Length on back is approx 46". Estimated to have been made in the late 1930s into the 40s.
