Vintage Handcrafted Glazed Earthenware Pottery Pitcher Jug w/Cobalt Blue Stripes

This is a vintage handcrafted earthenware pottery pitcher or jug with handle and pouring spout. It has a glazed surface inside as well as outside. It is tan in color with 2 cobalt blue stripes and is unmarked on the base. It measures 7.5 inches tall, the opening is 4.5 inches wide side to side, not including the spout, and the base is 4.5 inches across. This belonged to my mother-in-law who was from Alabama. My best guess is that it is probably from the 1940's - 1950's. But that is only a guess as to its age and place of origin. Regardless, it is a wonderful example of Farmhouse or Cottage decor. This is truly a lovely piece of vintage Americana with that rustic charm that you;ve been looking for. Handmade and hand painted, you will just love this classic pottery jug.
