Vintage Hand-Carved Cameo Brooch/Pin Mother Of Pearl Shell Sterling Setting

This vintage hand-carved mother of pearl classic cameo brooch depicts exquisite craftsmanship in an elegant oval design. The bezel is open back and has been oxidized to a black color. The size of the brooch is approx. 1.75" x 1.25" It is most likely that an artisan custom made the bezel for this cameo and they they were not created at the same time. The bezel is stamped sterling (see photo).
