This quilt is not the polished, precision-pieced type often seen for sale. Instead, it is a true folk art scrap quilt, stitched together from mid-century cottons and authentic feedsack-era fabrics dating to the 1940s–1950s. The fabrics show the tooth and texture of older cotton weaves, with cheerful florals, ditsy repeats, and novelty motifs in bright pinks, blues, yellows, reds, and greens.
Squares and triangles vary in size, seams don’t always perfectly align, and fabrics are placed at random — all hallmarks of a scrap quilt made for function and warmth rather than perfection.
