Up for your consideration is a vintage hand-carved and hand-painted wooden totem pole, marked on the back of the wing “Genuine Indian Totem – Hand Carved.” This marking is part of the original vintage labeling and is noted here for historical accuracy only. The totem features traditional Northwest Coast style designs with bold red, yellow, blue, green, and black paint. It stands approximately a little over 10 1/2 inches tall and is carved from solid wood with a rounded wood base. The previous owner wrote on the bottom that it was from Jackson, Wyoming. Pre-owned. There are a few areas, of the material that they use to make it shiny (shellack?), peeling off. Vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age. No major cracks or chips.
