Vintage HB Quimper French Faience Pottery Plates

Pair of charming 8.5" Hubaudiere-Bousquet hand-painted plates. The plates have a scalloped ogee edge with panels outlined in blue and yellow relief, alternating between flower sprigs and a croisille(cross hatch), pattern. They feature a Breton man and A Breton woman glancing at each other dressed in traditional costume. Made in France. Plates show repairs made around the rim as seen in pictures. 1942-1960's.
