Vintage Gold Tone Wire Collar Bold Statement Necklace Modernist Design

This Necklace is circa 1980s-1990s, when Ciner's and European designers' chic aesthetics prevailed. This collar necklace, though not signed, is well-made and indicates a master's hand behind it. It is an open circle design, with an opening on one end - to make it easy for slipping on and off the neck. It is mostly rigid, with just enough give to slightly pull apart if needed. The collar is about half an inch wide, made of fine gilt wire twisted and rolled all over the entire surface. There's a thicker wire rod underneath all the gilt wire surface, but it doesn't show. The ends of the open circle have gilt dome caps, a la some Ciner pieces. Make a bold statement with this vintage necklace.
