Vintage Gold Tone Metal Candle Holder Home Decor Accent

I am unsure of the metal, as this is unmarked. It is not magnetic. I presume this to be a candle holder as I am unsure of what else it could be. It would need to hold a votive or tealight sized candle. Please reference the photo's for measurements. This has been cleaned and polished. There are some signs of age to the finish with some discolored / oxidated spots. There is some pitting along the top rim. This would work well as a riser to provide various heights / dimension to home decor.
