This 19” necklace is made with gold filled 3 mm gold balls and tiny sterling silver tube beads. Because of its simple design, it has been very very loved! It goes with every single thing in my closet, and it works well with layered necklaces, too! Vintage 1960s. I welcome reasonable offers. Please refer to offer guidance chart.

shopwithwit I’m sort of confused by your pictures about a return. Is that for this piece? Your description says it’s gold fill beads and sterling tubes, but the later photos about a return on a necklace are confusing

blooplume @shopwithwit yes, this piece was returned by someone who is allergic to gold fill. I had always thought it was gold, because I wore it forever and ever and the gold never wore off. It’s still gold, in fact.

blooplume Anyway, I had advertised it as 14 karat gold, and sterling silver. She is apparently quite allergic and has a tester at home. When she tested it, it turned out to be gold fill instead of gold. So she had to return it. That’s when I lowered the price to $16 or something. And now it’s lowered to $8, which I think is a total steal! I hope that helps! 😊

shopwithwit @blooplume thanks for the clarification. Is it stamped? Usually it will say 14kGF or something. Is there a 925 or sterling stamp?

blooplume @shopwithwit as far as I know, it is stamped with neither. However, my eyesight is horrible, I’ve misplaced my loupe somewhere in this move, but I will tell you that it’s like 60 years old now, and all I do is about once a month I get a dry silver cleaning cloth and run it through that. If you are allergic to metals, I would discourage you from buying the necklace.

blooplume If you’re wanting a necklace that will keep its appearance for a while, I would hope sixty years of looking amazing would be proof enough. It’s a great necklace, and it’s a great price. And it’s OK if you don’t feel comfortable buying it. I would totally understand.😊
