Vintage Gobelin‎ Art Belgium Tapestry Tote, Paisley, Leather Trim, Circa 80-90’s

This vintage tote bag/satchel is certainly a piece of art. The body is embroidered in a paisley pattern, and the light brown leather ties it all together. There is an attached leather band that runs in an oval shape and serves as a stand for the bag. (See photos). Four leather strips go up from the bottom band and attach to logo engraved buckles. The dual round leather handles have embossed tacks and a 9” drop. The sides open in a “v” shape from the bottom band. The lining has an exquisite dark green logo print that compliments the tapestry. I had this bag appraised by an antique dealer.
