Vintage German Musical Handpainted Beer Stein Mug W/ Metal Lid Plays O Papa Mein

Gorgeous rare hand painted traditional Oktoberfest large ceramic stoneware vintage collectible usable beer stein in excellent condition. Displays beautifully in any collection. The Swiss movement music box works great, see video, and plays the song 'O Papa Mein'. Wind the music box, and when you lift the mug it releases the mechanism that activates the music box and makes it play the music. Set it back down and it stops playing. Won't play unless it's wound, so you have the option of silence also. No chips or cracks, and lid functions properly. From my research, the romantic German inscription translated to "Love only blooms once in a lifetime", and features a cute couple in love embracing. The brand is either Thewalt or Gerz. I believe the engraved ornamental silver lid is pewter, but unsure. There is a bit of age wear on the lib, but I think it could easily be polished off. I leave the cleaning of vintage items up to the buyer, and this item will not be cleaned or polished before shipping out. About 10" tall, and 4" wide.
