Preowned vintage, GUC. Some light tarnish patina on silver plate and minimal loss to overlay. See photos
This Georges Briard bowl comes in the hard to find silver overlay "Flora" Motif pattern. Briard pieces were rarely designed/created in silver, mostly they came in bright colors with gold leaf accents, making these pieces quite collectable and a wonderful addition to traditional and modernist décor. This stunning treasure is the fruit of collaboration between Georges Briard who added his designs onto blank pieces from Anchor Hocking/Fire King. They will dazzle on any tablescape theme from a Spring Brunch and quiet evening at home or to elevate your status at a PTA meeting and the neighbors potluck!
- Serving Bowl measures 9.5” x 4.75”
Georges Briard (May 17, 1917 – July 30, 2005) was a designer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He is most well known for his signature dishware and glassware - everything from cups and plates to gold plated serving dishes. His signature collections were retailed at noted department stores, such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.
