Vintage French Grasshopper Brooch Silver Plate Purple Rhinestone Locust Insect

Vintage French grasshopper / locust brooch. Acquired from a private estate collection, this insect pin features silver plated metal accented with purple rhinestones on the spread wings. Trombone style clasp. Stamped Déposé on back. This bug has a solid weighty feel with excellent craftsmanship. 2.15” width and 1.55” height. Great pre-owned condition with some wear commensurate with age. One rhinestone on the left wing has a chip, but it is barely noticeable, and some old epoxy discoloration on back.
