Vintage French Couture Rhinestone Clip Earrings w/ Louis Rousselet Glass Pearls

Vintage mid-century French couture earrings with a central gray glass pearl, surrounded by a halo of prong-set rhinestones, intricately layered with a mix of tonal accenting glass beads. The pearls are the work of Maison Rousselet, but I’m not certain if the earrings themselves were made by Rousselet or another design house in France. The back of the earrings are somewhat unusual for Rousselet, as they typically used filigree or a pierced metal back, but some of the pieces they created for couture houses vary in this way. French omega-shaped wire clip closure. The rhinestones sparkle beautifully, with the layered beads adding dimension—photos don’t quite do these justice. They’re stunning.
