Vintage Franciscan Apple Bread & Butter Dessert Plate ~ 6.25 in

This Vintage Apple Bread & Butter/Dessert Plate is a great example of the popular mid-century Franciscan Ware fruit designs. The handpainted design was first introduced in the 1940s and features apple branches in shades of red, green, and brown. The design circles the outer rim of the creamy ivory plate. The earthenware plate has an American backstamp and measures approximately 6-1/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or surface scratching.
