Vintage Fort McHenry Cast Iron & Brass miniature cannon with functional wheels

Sturdy cast iron base and wheels Functional rolling wheels During the Civil War Fort McHenry was used as a military prison and artillery training ground. Of course Fort McHenry is best known for its use in the war of 1812. It’s Canon’s successfully defended the Boston Harbor from a British naval attack. The event inspired Francis Scott key to pen “the Star-Spangled Banner”. The fort also served a significant role in the civil war with its large cannons to deter succession-ist sympathizers in the city. Photos of postcards showing Fort McHenry scenery is not included.
