Vintage Forged Aluminum Tray from Leroy Jewelers and Leroy Smithware, Erie, PA

A reminder of years gone by in Erie, PA LeRoy Jewelers was a staple in Erie, Pennsylvania for over 50 years. They were also known as LeRoy Smithware as well. Everything they did was made in Erie, PA and Made in the USA. This tray is one of those pieces. It is I believe Dog Wood Blossoms. The flowers are Beautiful along with the workmanship of the forged aluminum. It measures 12 inches long from handle to handle and 6 inches wide. It is stamped on the back: Made in the USA which shows sign of wear No wear in the Leroy Smithware Erie, PA There are a few flaws as scuffs on the back most likely due to storage issues as well as the front. It does need cleaning as there are darker areas of discoloration which happens with forged aluminum. I find, however, they do not take away from the piece but adds character to a piece made probably 60 or 70 years ago. Reference: K Box 2
