Vintage Foo Dog Ceramic Pillow Chinese Guardian Lion - Blue White Flower Frog

Ceramic "opium" pillow headrest. Opium pillows were often made from wood, leather or porcelain. They had a hole where the smoker would stash their belongings. By placing the open end against the wall and laying your head on the pillow, valuables were protected even when intoxicated through the side hole where it would be less likely to steal. This headrest is about 5" wide x 5.5" tall x 2.5". Good condition and will be packed with care.
