Vintage Folk Art Hand Carved Wooden Figure of a Man Smoking a Pipe

This is a hand carved, painted piece of folk art figure, done in a primitive style, of a man smoking a pipe and wearing a black hat. There are a few imperfections that can be seen upon close inspection. There's a couple of chips in the paint on the black hat, on the left red sleeve and on the edge of his pants in front. At one point there must have been a label stapled to the bottom. Staples can be seen on photo 6. I have a similar carved wooden figure of a woman carrying a water jug/jar on her head and under her arm. Please check my listings. The piece measures 8-1/2 inches in total height x about 4 inches across x 2-3/4 inches in depth.
