This vintage Florenza gold tone cameo pin brooch pendant is a Victorian revival piece featuring a real shell cameo. The pink, white, and gold colors are accentuated by faux pearl and gold plated metal. It was started by Dan Kasoff in around 1950 (the company had previously made jewelry for other brands). The name has nothing to do with the city Florence but is named after Dan’s mother Florence. Larry Kasoff took over but unfortunately had an accident and the company finished in 1981. This piece has a copyright symbol so it dates after 1955. The cameo is a real shell cameo. The pearls are faux. Florenza used the best of materials and their gold plating was of a very high standard.
