Vintage Fit and Flare Gold and Ivory

Gorgeous vintage 1950s style fit and flare dress. The exotic flower pattern is threaded metallic gold. It is so beautiful. Cap sleeve, slightly angled waist with rolled fabric, pleated skirt from waist down. Zip closure and hook at neck. Rounded neckline. The hook loop side of the mechanism is missing. Very simple fix. Hook is still in place. Zipper works well. Fully lined with some fraying internally at the seams (pictured). Dress still fully functional and wears beautifully. Purchased in Palos Verdes when I lived close to there in the early 2000s. Possibly a custom piece. No tag. Beautifully made. Probably close to a size 10. Measurements: Armpit to armpit is 19". Waist is 15.5". Waist to hem is 25". There are two small spots on the front bodice of the dress (pictured). Price reflects need for professional cleaning. Otherwise, it is in excellent used condition. I wore this garment only three times and stopped due to weight gain. Was lovely with off-white gloves and heels at nice dinners or charity functions. Has been hanging in the closet for years, and is now time for a new owner who appreciates elegance from another era. From a non-smoking home but with well-loved pets.
