The vintage wallpocket was made by Frank Ferrell after 1912 when he joined Peters & Reed Pottery. The wallpockets are hand signed by Frank Ferrell. Molded of dark red clay in low & high relief with garlands, ivy, grapes oak leaves and acorns and classical figures. The outside of the pieces were sprayed with green glaze that was later wiped away from the high points, leaving an almost natural moss coloring on the low areas. The inside is done in a brown glossy glaze used to waterproof the wall pocket. The condition of the wall pockets is very good. There is one mark on one of the grapes on one of the wall pockets along with minor chipping on the inside and outside hole where mounting is on the same wall pocket. The inside chipping appears to have been there at the time that it was made since there is no difference in coloration.
