Vintage Federal Glass Carnival Revival Fruit Bowl Pioneer Platter - Iridescent

A gorgeous vintage 1970s bowl/platter made by Federal Glass as part of their Carnival Revival line. Its got a fruit pattern on the bottom and ridged fluted ruffle sides with sawtooth edge. The glass is smoke colored with iridescent colors applied to the bottom which shift in blue, purple, gold tones. Federal called this a Pioneer Platter in their 1974 catalog. There are no chips or cracks to the bowl. The color is unevenly applied to the bottom so the color only hits part of the bowl. There are small scratches to the bottom from use so there are very tiny mars to the iridescence, but its difficult to see them from the top. A gorgeous piece of Carnival style glass at an affordable price!
