Vintage Etched Silver Ice Bucket w/ Lid - Victoria Silver Plate

Rare Vintage extra heavy silver-plated Ice Bucket. The (sought-after) patina of the Silver shows its beautiful age. Engraved or etched with a floral motif. Has a rotating ornate handle and detachable/liftable lid. Bottom is marked: "Victoria AAAA extra heavy silver plate C.M.C B15" "AAAA" denotes one of the highest quality silvers. From silver site: "British electroplaters used a letter code for their "Plated" wares. The best quality was "A1" or "AI", lower level was "A", next level was "B", followed by level "C", and the lowest level was "D". B = Third Quality = 16 grams on 12 pieces = 1 1/3 grams per tablespoon or table fork" Lid is marked: "495 Z R"
