Vintage Erzgebirge Wooden Santa Nutcracker Handmade in Germany in Original Box

This beautiful vintage Santa nutcracker was handmade in the Erzebirge region of Germany, renowned for its artisanal wood-carving. It features the authentic jaw-working lever on the back, as well as one moveable arm, perennially offering a Christmas tree. Most of the paint remains glossy and vibrant, although St. Nick’s nose and the white portions show a fair amount of chipping because of its age. It stands just over 10 inches tall yet weighs a solid 2 pounds. Included is the original box, which is also in good condition, apart from some writing and wear on one of the flaps (please see photos). Official Erzebirge stamp on bottom.
