Vintage Elgin American Compact Etched Rose Gold Tone Flowers 2.75” Square. Vintage Compact with Mirror and Makeup Compartment - Elgin American Excellent Condition. Loose powder compartment with puff, mirror, original advertising insert and soft cloth pouch. Never used for powder. In very nice unused condition. Measures approximately 2.75” T x 2.75”W. Vintage square shaped compact. Inside of the lid has a mirror, while the base of the compact is designed to hold makeup powder (there has been no powder in this compact). The original unused powder puff is here. There are rose gold colored flowers etched on the lid of the compact. This compact appears to be sturdy and solid; not made of aluminum. Unable to find when this compact was made, but may have been produced in the 1940s or 1950s.
