Vintage Egyptian Revival Blue Turquoise Scarab Silver Cuff
In Very Good Vintage Condition, Needs a good cleaning. Cleaning will be done before shipping, professionally!
In ancient Egypt turquoise was called mefkat, which meant “joy” and “delight.” The cuff will surly provide the wearer just that.
Picked up during a trip to Africa and of course a stop Egypt, how could this show stopper like the others being offer not have caught the eye and not been brought back to the US.
Beautiful detailing on this entire cuff! The outer part of the cuff has an almost floral like design on the bands, then there are four inner smaller bands and then the floral centerpiece holds the scarab in a robe like design. Like the turquoise the scarab had significance in ancient Egypt. As a symbol of birth, life, death, and resurrection, the little scarab beetles took on significant regenerative powers.
However, today...this cuff is just a beautiful piece sure to joy and delight!
The cuff will be presented in a gift box.
From a private estate, smoke free and pet friendly.
