About the stone: "Alabaster Marble" is also called Oriental Calcite Marble or Egyptian Alabaster Aragonite Onyx-Marble Stone which is the colorful banding of the Egyptian Alabaster and is a type of “Speleothem” found in Limestone Caverns. Alabaster Stone is created when minerals dry out over time in a sequence of horizontal layers; those layers form in different colors depending on the environment of the limestone.
