Vintage Early 1990s Valentino Miss V Navy Windowpane Plaid Peplum Shirt Dress XS

What a gorgeous dress! Shirtdresses are the best-you can wear them to work or anywhere really. It can be dressed up with heels for the office, or boots to make it more casual! Dress features: 7 button front closure Short sleeves Peplum in the back that is gathered into the waistband Shirt dress style, you can step into it to put it on V neckline Inverted pleat at the front hem Bodice is gathered into the waistband Approximately knee length Navy blue and white windowpane plaid fabric Tags say: Valentino Miss V. Made in Italy. Size 6 (this is a vintage piece, so please check measurements to ensure proper fit, vintage runs small so it is NOT a modern size 6!). I do not see a fabric content label, but my guess would be that it is cotton. (I could be wrong.) The fabric is a little bit textured/nubby. Dress is in very good vintage condition showing little evidence of wear. I do note that at the very top of the inverted pleat, there are some stitches that don’t look original (see last photo). They’re not very obvious, but they are there if you look at it closely. Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the item itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy! Bust measured just below the armholes: 35 1/2” Waist: 23” Hips: 35” Overall length from top of shoulder to hem: 38” Length from top of shoulder to waist: 14 7/8” Length from waist to hem: 23 1/8”
