Vintage EAPG Compote Lid for 'Canadian Pattern' by Burlington Glass Works Canada

This is an antique Compote Lid for 'Canadian Pattern' by Burlington Glass Works. It is clear pressed glass and the lid only. It was manufactured in Hamilton Ontario, Canada. The Burlington Glass Works only operated between 1871 - 1894. closing because of a fire. It measures 4 inches tall including the top know and 7.5 inches in diameter. It features embossed scenes of Canadian wilderness - trees, mountains, rocks - separated by ivy leaves and stippling. It is in very good condition for its age. There us one small flake on the rim. It is not rough to the touch. See photo. This is a rare an collectable example of the Early American Pressed Glass style.
