Vintage Dove Planter Hanging Spirtual Boho Pottery 1970s Matte Glaze Clay

Vintage Planter Mourning Dove Bird Pottery Stoneware Floral Neutral Colors Great vintage condition- not perfect due to age but no major cracks or chips. The actual bird is matte pottery and the color accents are glossy glazed. A show the flower design is on both sides. I’m the original owner and this was purchased in the late 1970s when I started collecting mourning doves due to their meanings- assuring departed ones are still with us. It was purchased at a local garden center/ farm stand…..we didn’t have options of many retail stores like today. Mourning doves symbolized hope,new birth, good fortune and fresh beginnings. I believe it had chains that hooked into the 3 holes on the top but twine would be perfect if you wanted to hang it. Just another object that I can’t believe I still own waiting to be shown off in their new home. It’s definitely part of the club “they don’t make quality items built to last like they used.”
