Vintage Damon for Marks Rothenberg Union Made in USA Black & Green 100% Silk Tie This handsome necktie is made in the U.S.A. by the ACWA Union, Amalgamated Clothing Workers Of America Imported foulard fabric from Italy. All silk. Per Wikipedia: In men's ties, foulard refers to the pattern rather than the material The fabric is black and green, somewhat colorblocked with paisleys This fabric has a much lighter, thinner silk feel when compared to other silk ties though no less rich. This tie was made by Damon for Marks Rothenberg, a famous store in Meridian, MS that closed in 1990. Per the style and print of the tie, as well at the closing of the store for which it was made, I suspect it is from the late 1970's to 80's Approx. measurements: length 54", widest width 3" Pre-owned and in beautiful vintage condition.
