These are Damascene "Tiger" pierced earrings by Reed & Barton, est. 1824.Damascene jewelry was inspired by an ancient craft that flourished in Damascus a long, long time ago. This rare art medium, patented by Reed & Barton and done mostly by hand, gives an exciting dimension to the world's most time-honored metals -- pure silver, bronze, burnished copper and 24 Kt gold electroplate. This vintage piece is in great condition with minimal wear as shown.
