Vintage DELILL Tapestry Train-Case/Box Purse Made in Italy, 1950s/1960s

This VINTAGE DELILL “Train Case” purse, Made in Italy in the early 1960s, is covered in beautiful, pristine floral tapestry, and is uber fabulous! The style was extremely popular for several Mid Century years, and I remember that time well! I have 3 of this style to sell (different fabric coverings) and also a different yet similar style that was called a “Choo-Choo Bag” (that one I’m keeping for now 😁). Coming from a smoke-free and pet-free home, this roomy purse is well cared for and very clean. The metal hardware was all originally gold-tone, but over the 60 to 65 years of its “life”, it has become less gold. The stamped designer’s name can still be seen on the interior slip pocket, the smart latch still works perfectly, and the 4 metal “feet”/studs on the bottom are all still firmly attached. Whether you opt to use this in its intended capacity as a handbag, or repurpose it for storage, or just as an MCM decorative item, it’s ready to serve you well for many years!
