A lovely Coro brooch of a stylized lily. The petals are a brushed gold with polished underside. Highly dimensional with each petal curved. The mark on the back helps with dating, the Coro Pegasus mark was used from 1938 through the 1960s. It is all gold-tone and in excellent vintage condition. Measures: 2.5 x 2 inches The name Coro is a combination of the last names of the two founders, Cohn and Rosenberger. Founded in the 1900s, the Coro jewelry company became a powerhouse in reasonably priced costume jewelry and brought colored stones and glitter to middle-class women all over America. Produced in their factory in Providence, Rhode Island. Even though the Coro brand changed hands in the 1970s and stopped in the 1990s, its impact changed the landscape of American costume jewelry. Coro had several lines, including Coro, CoroCraft, and Vendome. This beautiful brooch was so well taken cared of, it barely looks vintage. A most stunning addition to your collection you would be proud of! Please review all photos carefully for visual grading before purchasing as this is final sale. Lot #00055
