Vintage Corning Military Messware Bowls, Set of 2 1940s White Glass Chili Style Bowls These thick and sturdy bowls were commissioned for use in the military during WWII. They were purposely designed to be able to withstand the rough treatment of daily use and the fast pace of the galley dishwashers. These bowls have the older Corning "Glassblower" logo on them and they are thick and smooth. Bowls measure 5.5" across and are about 2.5" tall. No chips or cracks to either bowl. Holds about 12oz comfortably, but 16oz filled to the brim.
