This set was purchased about 1986 or 1987 for my new home. Corelle seems to promote any Corelle dishes that are pre-2005 to use for decoration. There was a concern about lead that was used in dishes before 2005. The bowls are decorated with two colored rings...no colored paint inside the bowls or on the outside. *Flaws: usage marks are on the inside of the bowls...one small chip around the edge of one bowl...look at 1st photo...could be a chip or a flaw during production.
