Brand: Unbranded - no markings of any kind
Item: What a fabulous find! This Midcentury Modern representation of a mad-men style salesman, businessman i a suit, tie and fedora hat reminds me of a Don Draper style look, from the series Mad Men.
This item is an authentically vintage 1950s-1960s high relief figure of a door to door salesman - probably used as a performance award on a plaque for "Salesman of the Month" or something similar. The back can sit flat against and be bolted to a board, with an attached threaded bolt. ( a corresponding board or bolt nut is not provided)
NOTE: This is not a full-figured stand-alone figure. It must be mounted to something to make it a wall plaque or even a paperweight.
Materials: The finish is lacquered copper. I tested with a magnet to check to see if the base metal was iron or steel; it isn't. Someone (not I) has made a small scratch on the back to discern metal content and it is silver in color and therefore might be chrome, which also is non-magnetic. The figure weighs approximately 1 pound, 0.9 ounces, unpacked; quite heavy for its size.
Measurements: approximately 7.5 inches x 3.5 inches
Condition: Very good condition, with no oxidation, rust, dents or major flaws. Someone has made a small scratch on the back to discern metal content (not I) and it is silver in color and therefore might be chrome, which also is non-magnetic
