It is not a deep tear, and could easily be fixed by someone who has the knowledge. I believe just a couple of stitches would do it, but I lack the expertise. On the piping near the zipper, there is a spot that bends a little bit. This bag has gorgeous striations mainly on one side. Such amazing condition and vibrant color for a bag from the 80s! ●Any repairs, cleaning/conditioning products used, dunking, etc: ✔️ sprayed and wiped down with distilled white vinegar as a precaution against mold ✔️ conditioned with Bick 4 ✔️ buffed with horsehair brush ✔️ zipper cleaned with Sunshine Polishing Cloth
