No rips or tears in the leather. Leather is thick and sturdy. Wonderful everyday bag No smells. Call out: ink spots and pen mark on the front. some exterior scratches but no piping issues. Fading and colorloss to piping. Loose stitches near zipper. Does not affect zipper.
