What is Cloisonné?
Cloisonné is an ancient technique where fine metal wires are affixed to a metal object in decorative patterns, and the spaces are filled with colorful enamel. Then the piece is fired and polished. It originated in the Middle East, but became especially famous in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Estimated Origin & Use:
Most likely Chinese export piece, possibly made between 1970s–1990s.
Miniature size: Often made as decorative collectibles, souvenirs, or for dollhouse displays.
It’s not made for functional tea brewing due to enamel coating and size.
