Vintage Clay Art Ceramic Wall Mask Teal Purple Feathers Cat Eye Masquerade San Francisco USA 90s This stunning Clay Art ceramic masquerade mask features an ethereal teal-to-purple ombre finish with sculpted cat-eye shaping, glossy detailing and a beautifully painted face. A dramatic plume of teal and purple peacock feathers crowns the mask and coordinating ribbon ties accent each side. The colors are rich, luminous and incredibly striking. A true statement piece for wall decor, display or themed events. Approx. measurements: 18" tall without ribbon, 23" with ribbon, 18" plume width, 7.5" mask width. Condition: This mask was previously owned. I gently surface cleaned it. There is crazing throughout the glaze which is common for these pieces. I feel it adds to the mystique. There are light age marks on the chin and a small area on the eye that appears to be an original production imperfection. The feathers show natural variation and light fraying as do the ribbon tips. The reverse shows the original cavity where Clay Art masks of this style sometimes housed a small wind-up music box. The mechanism is not included. The mask still displays beautifully without it.
