Vintage Circus Carousel Elephant Christmas Ornament

This is a vintage Smithsonian Carousel Animal Collection Christmas elephant ornament from 1988.  The ornament is designed to look like a carousel animal, complete with a saddle and a red and gold pole.  It was produced by Kurt Adler for the Smithsonian Institutionn The ornament has a trunk up, which is often considered a sign of good luck.  Does not have original box.
