Vintage Ceramic Wise Men Figurines

These figurines originated during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) in China, initially incorporated into miniature landscapes called Penjing (bonsai precursors). Production continued to flourish, particularly in South China, becoming a significant part of the Chinese export trade, especially in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
