Vintage Carved Wood Box With Attached Lid

I purchased this from the estate of a family that owned a Trading Post outside of the National Petrified Forest in the 1950’s. I do not have any information regarding this piece. I just thought it was beautifully crafted. It does have a nibble on the bottom back corner. (Photo’s 7 & 8). Photo’s 9 & 10 show a crack in the bottom. It is shallow and does not go through the piece. Not a pristine piece but functional & pretty.
