Vintage Carved Elephant Pendant Necklace ~ Unique ~ Boho Pretty and unique carved elephant pendant wrapped in gold tone base with a gold tone chain. Uncertain of substance, feels like a type of resin; might be bone. Made to appear like ivory, but it IS NOT IVORY. The pendant image is two elephants facing one another with trunks raised. The pendant base wraps the back and is embellished along the circumference. Some glue resin on the side (see last pic). Does not seem like the chain is original to the piece as it is a bit short for such a large pendant. Chain is just barely 18" and is tarnished with standard spring ring clasp. A leather or fabric cord would be nice and the opening would accommodate it. The pendant is approx 2" wide and approx 1.5" tall (not including the bail). Again, the chain is tarnished, the gold tone base of the pendant shows wear and there is some dust accretion in the pendant itself. A nice and different piece for the safari fan, elephant lover or person who likes unique jewelry. From smoke & pet free home. Item has been stored and subject to dust for a period of time.
