Capodimonte double rose fine porcelain figurine sculpture
made in Napolean, Italy
Rich, vibrant red (green leaves), very dainty.
Includes a wooden stand - has a nameplate of "Wellington Collection" but it was just a stand I had to display the roses on (and I usually had it turned backwards). Pointed out a couple of imperfections on the base (but obviously you don't have to use it if you prefer to display the roses another way.
See one very TINY white spot/chip on the rose and there's a little discoloration (it actually was always like that)
This delicate piece so beautifully displays an unfurling, budding rose, with curved petals.
This would be a lovely piece to add to someone's collection who appreciates fine porcelain and rose floral decor.
ABOUT CAPODIMONTE:
The long tradition of Capodimonte porcelain was born over the Bourbon dynasty, precisely in 1743, when king Carlo Bourbon and his wife Amalia di Sassonia established a porcelain production center in their royal residence of Capodimonte. They wanted to equal the german porcelain production of the Meissen factory.
