Here's a brooch for afficionados--luscious cobalt blue and loads of sparkle! This substantial brooch features a large, 1.25-inch x 1-inch, faceted faux sapphire stone, prong-set and surrounded by gold-plated, braided 'petals' or 'rays.' There is no visible maker's mark--we think this brooch was made in the 1960's. It's very well crafted, with some weight to it; the fastening mechanism is securely soldered on. Excellent vintage condition; measuring approximately 2.5 inches across by 2 inches wide x ⅜-inches deep. Use the photos as part of the description.
