Vintage CROWN TRIFARI SCORPIO Zodiac Pendant Necklace

This Vintage gold-plate Pendant Necklace is by CROWN TRIFARI. The pendant features a prong set circular intaglio glass that is reverse-carved with a Scorpion which is the Scorpio Zodiac representation (birthday falls between October 23 to November 22) in a fanciful setting. The twisted rope chain measures approximately 20“ end-to-end and the pendant is 2” in diameter. Trifari was a popular and high-quality costume jewelry brand, and the "Crown Trifari" mark, featuring a crown above the "T" in the logo, was used on pieces made from approximately 1937 to 1969. The intaglio technique used on the pendant involves carving a design into the back of a clear material, creating a frosted, three-dimensional effect when viewed from the front.
