This delightful Copeland Spode design of bird, bee, insect is pattern number P9852 and is a gorgeous fluted design. According to my research, the impressed word "COPELAND" in curved form without a crown above as we have here was used between c. 1850-67. Fluted plate could as easily be used for cheese and cold meats as well as cakes and sandwiches. It's in excellent antique condition with only a few marks on the edges and some discoloration - please see all photos
